Compact Deadbolt / privacy latch lock with follower

Deadbolt/latch lock with profile cylinder additional latch (with follower) for detention room doors with occupant locking. With single turn deadbolt exclusion and mechanical deadbolt position indicator on the corridor side. As replacement lock for 8.13.0183.5/6/7/8 and 8.14.0123.5/6/7/8.

Functional description

The HSL double-bit key is inserted into the lock.

The bolt is retracted with the key via one turn (180° turn). The profile cylinder additional latch is retracted via a second turn (120° turn).

The detention room door can be opened.

The detention room door is closed. Profile cylinder additional latch retracts into the striking plate.

The bolt is thrown with the key via a tour (180° turn).

The detention room door is completely locked.

Re-coding the lock

The locking mechanism can be re-coded to a different locking when it is unlocked (bolt withdrawn). This requires a key of the current locking and a key of the future locking.

Application areas

The lock type HSL C102X is designed as a replacement lock (retrofitting) for STUV single and double-bit locks and is mainly used in detention room doors. The deadbolt is withdrawn and extended via one tour (180° key rotation). The key can be removed in locked and unlocked state. When the bolt is withdrawn, the inmate can leave the detention room from the inside by turning the knob (accessory). From the outside, the inmate can open the detention room door with a profile cylinder key when the bolt is withdrawn.

The key guide of the main locking mechanism is located on one side of the lock. This equipment is used e.g. for detention room locks.

AS | Removal barrier

The removal barrier prevents unauthorised removal of the lock when the door is open. The lock can only be removed when the locking elements are locked. Ergo, the double-bit key is absolutely necessary.

PS | Production lock (dummy lock without tumbler lock mechanism)

Dummy lock available for door production without security features. The production lock will be charged. After a faultless return (inspection by STUV Prison Solutions), the amount minus shipping costs will be refunded or charged.
